If you really want to challenge yourself, get some elevation in your life. Find a hill, and crawl backward up it. Without a doubt, this is the apex of all bodyweight crawling drills. Nothing is harder to do, and nothing will tie your body together quite like this will. You can’t help but become strong when you crawl backward up a hill.

Be careful with this one. I’ve seen folks face or elbow plant hard doing this one with a little moisture on the grass. During one morning physical training session, we ended up looking for a wedding ring after this one as well. Moral of the story: Secure your gear.

You can do the backward crawl by using any of the forward-crawl techniques already described in the chapter about the RESETS. When you practice this crawl, I recommend starting with the baby crawl first. Once you have the hang of that, move to the leopard crawl and then on to the spider-man crawl.
